Talk about a meet-cute: newlyweds Frances Keen and Chris Shearer found one another at a local burger joint. After chatting, Chris asked Frances out on a date — though Frances was way ahead of him.
“I think I knew I’d marry him after our first meeting, though,” she recalls. “I remember driving home in complete and utter shock, thinking to myself that this guy could be the one!”
A year after the two met, Chris took Frances out for dinner and a stroll along the ultra-romantic waterfront in Williamstown, Australia. It was there that the hopeful groom got down on one knee and asked Frances the question every girl in love wants to hear.
How couldn’t she say yes?!
“I walked past a bridal store with a window display that really caught my eye,” Frances says of her Rue de Seine gown. “The styling was very bohemian and romantic and un-like most places. I went in and within 10 minutes I knew I’d found my dress. I felt beautiful, and most importantly I felt like myself. It was so unbelievably elegant but the lace crochet mermaid gown was unique as well.”
A Rustic Wedding
“I think the location is what made the day so unique and special to us,” Frances said of the couple’s decision to feature the countryside so prominently in the wedding. “A lot of our relationship was based around the fact that we met in Country Victoria, so marrying in the country was really special for us.”
“Warm, joyful and romantic”
Frances had three words to describe her ceremony: warm, joyful and romantic.
“Just like my relationship with Chris!”
